Clip ons with risers without breaking the bank?
Clip ons with risers without breaking the bank?
Hello all!
I’m trying to make my 08 Blade a bit more comfy for longer trips. I bought a well made peg lowering kit from the Orient recently. They work an absolute treat and came to only 32 euro including postage (40mm/50mm adjustable drop.) Now I’m turning my attention to the other end of the ergonomic spectrum.

For reasons of aesthetic decency I can’t bring myself to go for a top yoke conversion and handlebars, so clip on risers seem the only viable solution.
ABM do a nice looking adjustable set with up to 70mm rise, thats about 2.7″ inches, but are a bit spendy at around 280 euro.
Woodcraft and a collection of others do between 1.5″ inches up to 3″ but are still a tad expensio at around 160/200 including shipping.
Does anyone know where I might find find a cheaper pair? The fork diameter is 50mm and the stock bars already have a rise of about 1.5 inches so at least 2.5″ to be worth a try.
All moneys saved will be spent on pints to toast your good heath in 2017.
