Howye folks,

Mate has a 2003 R6 that is giving idling issues. Even if the bike seems to be holding a steady idle of 1000 / 1200 after the automatic choke is off, the bike starts giving trouble while driving. Revs become erratic, and will cut out if the revs get too low so you have to rev it at the lights to keep it running. Also while driving and you come off the throttle, the needle swings wildly and if it drops to 0 the bike cuts out of course. Seems worse on a cold morning, but is happening all the time.

It was taken to a shop that disconnected a power commander and did something to the TPS, i assume took it out, looked at it and put it back as they did not replace it outright.

Anyone know these bikes and what most commonly causes these symptoms? Used to older machines and would like to tackle the most likely culprits first.
